What's for dinner?

I just wanted to share my lasted experience of Hallie's cuisine, but first you need to know her normal diet.

Things Hallie will not eat: bananas, apples, sweet potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, and the list goes on and on.

Things Hallie Will eat: gravel, grass, carpet, paper, plastic, and the latest is bird poop.

Yes, I just admitted that for the two seconds I had my back turned trying to fill up her baby pool she got a little taste of bird poo. Obviously I panicked and tried to rinse out her mouth and called the dr., again. So obviously there's no permanent damage, but I just think it's ironic that the things she won't eat are actually tasty and the things she will eat. . .

Graduation

This weekend the fam went to Illinois for Rylie and Kylie's (my awesome nephew and niece) graduation, and for Rylie's farewell. Rylie will be heading to the New York South mission in July, and Kylie is already on her way to attend BYU this summer. It was so great to see everyone, and have fun catching up and playing cards as usual. The five hour drive was less than exciting, but well worth it. When we finally made it home, Hallie just screamed for a long time just to show how excited she was.

Everyday Should Be Mother's Day

Mother's Day is officially my favorite holiday, it even beats my birthday and Christmas. It started out that last night my sweet daughter Brianna cleaned the house from top to bottom, vacuuming, picking up, cleaning glass, and putting away the dishes (and surprising me with a note inside the dishwasher.) Then this morning Brandon surprised me with a flower (weed) that Hallie picked for me, complete with pictures taken to document the occasion. It was such a thoughtful gift. The best part was the card that he recorded a message on, this is what it said.

Brandon: Who do we love?

Hallie: Da da

Brandon: No! It's Mother's Day

It just goes to show that the most precious things in life can't be bought or scripted. We'll actually the card, picture, and frame all cost money so scratch that.

My Sweet Brianna is 10!

In truth, Brianna won't be 10 until the 15th, but we celebrated it this weekend while she was home. Her big gift was a new keyboard which her little sis was not so excited about sharing and as you can see received her first timeout. Then we all went swimming at a hotel. It was a great weekend. Brianna is one of those people that absolutely can light up a room, and makes everyone want to be around her. She is such a thoughtful good helper with her sister and around the house. She loves to dance and act, and she honestly has the best imagination of anyone I know. I love her so much and am blessed to have her in my life.

Fun in the Mud

Since we moved to our new house, Brianna's favorite thing to do is play in the dirt of the empty lot next door. So obviously with the recent rain that dirt is now mud making it even more fun. This morning she woke up and decided to stomp in it with an old pair of boots, but temptation got the best of her and 1 hour later she knocked at the door needing help. Her boots, socks, pants, and even face were all muddy and you couldn't even find her hands in all the mess. She has the best imagination of anyone I have ever know and she claims she was building a house. I'm going to have one disappointed little girl when they actually decide to build a house there and her playground is gone. The bottom picture shows the fruits of her labor which includes a bridge that she can cross and a landing pad on the far left. Oh to be nine again.
