Teat Teat (Trick or Treat)

Buying Hallie a Halloween costume wasn't a complete waste this year. We might have missed all the parties, at least we got some cute pictures and took her to two houses to give her the idea of trick or treating. She loves to make this funny face.I wish I could say that she is giving her baby sister love, but no she hasn't grasped that concept yet. So in truth she was just giving mom's belly button kisses.
We've loved having Grandma stay with us the last week. I don't know how I would have made it without her. Hallie's getting attached, so thankfully she will be back in a short three months when she will once again be needed badly.
Enjoying her hard earned candy

Pumpkin Patch Part 2

This is one of my favorite picture of these two. She wanted to lay down and say cheese with KaKa.

So after we had been taking pictures for about 5 minutes on these tubes and jumping around on them, a scared 4 year old climbed out of one of the tubes. I felt so bad when her mother had to come coax her out, and the child was nearly in tears. Ooops
Getting lost in the corn maze sounded fun, until I had to go to the bathroom so bad it was hard to walk, the joys of being pregnant.

We are obviously past the appropriate age to be on this slide, but it was so much fun. I love seeing Brandon at the end with his hands up in the air because my belly is getting too big for him to wrap around.

Last Few Days

Just wanted to share a few pictures from our weekend with Nana and Papaw. Her first piano lesson For our anniversay today Brandon wanted to get me out of the house, so we went to Boyd Orchard. Here is Hallie trying to figure out why the orange balls are too heavy to throw. No worries, she found some her size soon after and threw those everywhere and took a big bite. Animals are always the highlight of any outing. I was surprised at how eager she was to feed the goat, not so surprised when she decided to try out the feed herself. Yum

Water Park

We took the kids to the park briefly. Bri was a little disappointed that she still wasn't old enough to want to play. She told me, "Hallie only likes the mulch" how boring.

I was trying to get some cute shots with the kids and the ducks so I gave Korbin Hallie's hand and told him to hold on tight because she would gladly join the ducks in the lake. A few minutes later, Splash! She walked in dragging Korbin behind her on his knees.

Happy Birthday to Us

It was a very good day yesterday. I think we are both getting the hang of making each others day special, even though we both know that Brandon just wants to steal my thunder:)
When I was making our cake yesterday, I read the ingredients on the back of the frosting can and was so excited because there was no eggs or milk in it. So obviously I gave Hallie a taste immediately. She took her first bite and her eyes got huge. The next thing I know she is running top speed with a spatula covered with strawberry frosting and is headed for her hiding spot behind our couch. I barely caught her in time, but I knew her thoughts were mom would never let me have all I want of something this good.

I have been attempting to be a better wife and cook more and soups an easy thing to make usually. So Brandon got me this awesome stockpot, you know you are getting maturer (old) when you get excited about a pot. The same goes for Brandon getting excited about a wallet, which by the way he wouldn't have even needed if I hadn't washed his old one. oops

Pictures of the weekend

To start off our weekend, we got a short visit from Nana, Papaw, and Hallie's Great, Great Grandmother. Mamaw is so amazing that she is almost 90, blind as a bat, but is still by far the best cook in the family. Her chicken & dumplings are legendary.
Korbin is the best big brother in the whole world. The hardest part of the weekend for Hallie is waking up earlier than KoKo. If I'm not watching her close enough she will go to his door and start banging on it yelling for KoKo to wake up and play.
Yuck, I hate pictures of myself, but Mikayla looks so cute I had to put it on here so everyone can see how beautiful she is. She was sweet enough to go to the General Women's Broadcast with me on Saturday night, and sadly we laughed more than we listened. My favorite of the night was when I was talking about the many pieces of pie that I sampled at the social beforehand, and I said that I wasn't crazy about one of them. Mikayla then said, "Well you sure finished it." Very true, I laughed the rest of the way home; maybe that burned off a few of those calories.
Here's my sweetie again with her bootboot. I think she calls it that in an attempt to make a horn sound. She is absolutely a joy to have in my life, but gets more spoiled with every visit from her siblings and grandparents.
I laughed when I came home today and saw how Brandon had rigged Hallie's car. Leave it to us to find a way to make exercise a little less strenuous. Please believe I will be using this cord too the next time I take her out, ghetto or not.
Here's Bri striking an Avatar pose. This monkey never quits going. Also, I would be willing to bet that she ate over 20 popsicles this weekend, maybe that's where she gets her energy.

Funny Sleeper

(picture taken by my talented friend, see more at denishasproulphotography.blogspot.com)
It's not really that hard to find a husband that can make you laugh in the day time, but I think it's an accomplishment that I found one that makes me laugh at night in his sleep. We have had many strange conversations or "incidents" at night since we've been married and it doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon. Here are some of my favorites. Do know that most of these happened while I was asleep too so my responses to him are sometimes just as strange.

Brandon: (sitting up straight and gasping) Something in this house scares me!!!
Me: (eyes wide open and searching the dark room) What!?! What scares you? Did you hear something?
Brandon: (snore)

Me: (can't sleep, watching rerun of Sister Act on tv)
Brandon: (sitting up once again) Ha I caught you. I knew what you were up to.
Me: (rolling my eyes) Go to sleep

Brandon: (sits up coughing)
Me: Are you ok?
Brandon: (cough, cough) Dry Skin
Me: Oh you should use lotion
Brandon: (grabs my hands and begin to kiss them and in a little kid voice says) Ah I love you, you are so cute
Me: (jerking my hand away) Quit smelling my finger, you weirdo (he of course was not smelling my fingers but it was my grouchy way of saying go back to sleep)

This one happened last night
Me: (after using the bathroom for 3rd time got back in bed)
Brandon: What are you doing?
Me: I went to the bathroom
Brandon: What happened?
Me: (pause) I went number 1
Brandon: Oh good (snore)
This is just another of the many reasons why I love my sweetheart, because he makes me laugh day and night.
